Wow, what a regatta! Seventy-six boats, a riot of color, and a fleet of sailors who came ready to celebrate the 50th Anniversary Moore 24 National Championship. From the opening parade race to the final finish, Santa Cruz delivered—big breeze, wipeouts, man overboards, and plenty of “Fresh to Frightening” moments. My kind of photography!
But it was the people who made this event a highlight of my year. The smiles, the camaraderie, the passion for these boats— and competitors stopping to thank us simply for being there. That meant so much.
Huge thanks to Santa Cruz Yacht Club, the organizers, race committee, and volunteers who pulled it all together. And to Team Pegasus for providing the photo boat, Mario for his terrific driving and helping with rescues, and Felipe of Uptop Media for capturing the action alongside me.
